Classic Hymer A-Class Motorhome the Mercedes version! Mercedes 602 2. 9 non-turbo diesel engine with semi-automatic gearbox.
It has been SORN'd for a few years whilst i have been refurbishing it. This is a project vehicle as it does not have an MOT and the engine is noisy. I have found a small crack in the engine block and used K-seal for a temporary fix. With it there is another better condition engine block and crankshaft so it just needs rebuilding with the existing cylinder head. The cylinder head has been refurbished and tested with new valves, valve seals, hydraulic lifters & camshaft.
It starts and runs first time so can be driven onto a transporter or trailer.
The Hymer S555 is a highly popular classic that can be driven on a normal UK driving licence. This version has the gallery type layout with an overhead bed.
It has rear air suspension and a 4-bike cycle rack as well as a rooftop solar panel in DC TV inside with retractable aerial.

Replaced many parts but engine block and possibly 2 cylinder bores are cracked hence it billows grey smoke when accelerated hard. Comes with a replacement engine block and crankshaft.
I bought it, effectively as a non-runner in late 2022 and have been fixing and refurbishing it ever since.
