This 1975 FJ40 Toyota Land Cruiser is presented in incredibly solid and honest condition and has never been restored or modified since new. It has the factory fitted 4230cc 6 cylinder petrol engine and a 4 speed manual 4wd gearbox in great working order. Total original matching numbers example. The body work is very solid and it would make an easy DIY restoration. What you see is what you get (unlike some others)
The under carriage us in truly unbelievable condition for a 50 year old car & has never been welded. There is minimal surface rust with just general marks from use and road dirt. The interior and exterior are in similar condition, both untouched but all complete and very solid throughout.
There have been some additions made such as air-conditioning, bigger wheels and tyres and it benefits from a brand new radiator, hoses, battery & new ignition leads, coil & associated parts. The body work could be described as patina and adds a certain charm in my opinion.
This Land Cruiser has always been driven & very well serviced and maintained. There is over $10, 000 in servicing and repair bills over the past 8 years. This was always a driver, not just a collector. After spending most of its life in Australia in dry country it was imported to Ireland and is now registered, taxed & the log book is present.
