For sale is my very rare Hyundai Pony MK2 believed to be one of only two left in the UK. Go on, when did you see one on the road or even for sale?
This was the car that started it all off for Hyundai, there were less than 200 MK1 cars imported into the country and around 900 MK2s. This car is the top of the range 1400GLS and has only covered just over 37k in its lifetime. It's in a amazing condition as am sure the photos show.
It supports it original paintwork and has not been resprayed. There are 3 areas of cosmetic attention required to make the paintwork perfect, where touching up has been carried out. I have left these areas as they are as I have struggled with the fact of originality against no paint issues. There is the odd other issue with the car, rear tailgate struts need replacement as the tailgate will not stay up on its own, the weather strip on the driver's door needs replacement (comes with the car) and the cock on the dash is temperamental.
Under the bonnet is just an amazing sight and so clean it's a credit to the previous owners to have kept that way. The car supports original dealer stickers on the sills and rear window and the original Hyundai quality control sticker is showing on one of the rear windows.
Truly a car to be proud to be displayed at classic car shows.
