Description
The Volkswagen Kombi, a Brazilian model, was a light commercial vehicle manufactured by the German automaker Volkswagen between 1950 and 2013.
Its rugged monocoque construction (no separate chassis), independent torsion-bar suspension, and the driver's unusual seating position (sitting above the front axle with the steering column almost vertical) made it a simple, sturdy vehicle with low maintenance costs.
Bought from a Brazilian private individual by a Spanish diplomat stationed there, it was brought back to Spain after a full restoration. Engine completely rebuilt.
