It is with great reluctance that I am offering my Audi A4 2. 8 Quattro Avant for sale.
Purchased when it was six months old by my brother-in-law from Aston Green Audi in March 2000, the car has been a cherished member of our family for over 26 years. It is only being sold now due to my forthcoming move to a central London apartment where resident’s parking is unfortunately not available.
This is a high-specification ‘facelift’ example in elegant and timeless Ming blue with black leather seats.
• Engine/ Drivetrain: 2. 8L V6 with the outstanding Quattro permanent all-wheel drive system which provide a superbly smooth, stable and linear driving experience.
The car was specified from new with the following rare and expensive options:
- Xenon self-levelling headlights
- Black leather electric heated seats
- Bose ‘Concert’ stereo system
- ‘Carbon’ textured grey dashboard trim
- Tailgate roof spoiler
The bodywork is in excellent condition with just a few age related minor blemishes.
This is a totally original, un-modified example of the increasingly rare B5 Audi A4 and is possibly almost unique in this condition with such a complete virtually one family owner history over the past 26 years. The car has a full service history from new with a fully stamped original Audi service booklet. In my ownership since December 2012 the car has been maintained by the excellent independent Audi specialist AirCool in Highbury. I have a folder full of receipts for all the maintenance jobs and services they have carried out. The car has been maintained on a ‘no expense spared’ basis and in my ownership has mostly been used for trips out of London and holiday journeys to South West France where it is sublime on the autoroutes and N roads!
By arrangement the car can also be viewed at my mother’s house in Lindfield, West Sussex.
