Very original Matchless G3 350 in excellent running condition. Electronic ignition and voltage regulator fitted for reliability and ease of starting. Being a later model it has the more powerful scrambles based short stroke engine. Easier to move around the garage than my BSA 650 twin but just as satisfying to ride. Can keep up with modern traffic on 60mph roads whilst also being a delight to potter on the country roads we have in North Yorkshire. It had been in a museum so needed some recomissioning including a carb overhaul with steel sleeve and all lubricants changing.
I bought it in 2008 to commute cross country to work on sunny days and so gave it an overhaul shortly after purchasing with new main bearings, piston rings and valve springs. I also had three other classic bikes so the commutes were shared.
