Description
This 1999 Porsche Boxster S is a well-presented and honest example of the increasingly sought-after 986 generation. Finished in Arctic Silver Metallic with a beautiful full red leather interior, it has a particularly attractive and classic specification. The car is fitted with the desirable 3. 2-litre flat-six engine and a manual gearbox — widely regarded as the most engaging and collectible configuration of the early Boxster S models.
The car has covered 146, 643 km and was originally supplied in the UK. I personally imported the car into the Netherlands in 2016, where it has been registered on Dutch plates ever since. Over the past 10 years the car formed part of my private Porsche collection and has therefore been used only sparingly.
Mechanically, the car drives very well. The engine runs properly, the gearbox shifts smoothly and the car feels tight and enjoyable on the road, exactly as a Boxster S should. It remains a very analogue and pure driving experience, something these early 986 S models are increasingly appreciated for.
The car comes with:
Service books
Manuals
Original Porsche radio/ CD unit
In terms of condition, the car presents well overall but I prefer to describe it honestly. Cosmetically, the front and rear bumpers would benefit from repainting for someone seeking a near-perfect appearance. In addition, the rear trunk lid has a small damage mark. None of these points affect the way the car drives and it can absolutely be enjoyed as it is.
Before sale, the car will be supplied with:
Fresh MOT / APK
Minor service
This is not a restored or over-detailed show car, but an honest and original Boxster S in a highly desirable specification. With manual gearbox, 3. 2 engine and tasteful colour combination, it represents an increasingly collectible modern classic. I bought this Porsche Boxster S as part of my private collection in 2015.
It comes with the original service manual.
Services done by either Porsche dealers or specialists.
After I bought the car to The Netherlands, it hardly has been driven. Was stored in a heated warehouse during the period I have the car.
Changed the oil every year, filters and fluids. But no service records from that.
So it would require a service but no issues at all.
