Description
Porsche 944 first registered in April 1985 and supplied by Charles Follet of Mayfair, London. Finished in stone grey metallic with black leatherette and grey pinstripe inlays. Its has a five speed manual transmission and powered by the 2. 5 litre in line four cylinder engine. It is optioned with a electrically operated sunroof, power steering, electric windows, electrically adjustable passenger door mirror, and a four spoke leather steering wheel. The car comes with service history and its original Drivers manual maintenance record book. It has had four former keepers and I have the V5C. The car is eligible as being classed historic, so zero road tax.
I have owned the car since June 2020. In my ownership the rust was removed by Auto Umbau Porsche and professionally restored (just over 100 hours of labour). The car had a complete resprayed (not bare metal as this destroys the galvanised zinc layer) by Auto body craft in Heath and Reach. A new genuine Porsche headlining has been professionally fitted. The bonnet sound deadening has been replaced. The alloy wheels have been refurbished. The auxiliary and balancer belts have been replaced. The belt tensioner is replaced, along with the coolant and a full service by Auto Umbau Porsche. The braking system has been fully refurbished, and a new battery has just been fitted. It starts first time and runs very well.
Sadly, the dash is cracked in the usual way, but otherwise the car is in excellent condition. I have fitted a modern but period looking radio with Bluetooth connectivity.
I am selling the car as I have started restoring an early 944.
