Description

For sale is my 2004 Porsche 911 Carrera 2 manual coupe, finished in Arctic Silver Metallic with Metropole Blue full leather interior. This is a later 996. 2 model with the 3. 6-litre flat-six and 6-speed manual gearbox. The car has covered just over 95, 500 miles and comes with a stamped service book from new, Porsche Certificate of Authenticity and a large supporting invoice file. It has been enthusiast-owned for the last 10 years and maintained by Porsche specialists, mainly Northway Porsche, with later work by Uber GT Performance and HC Porsche. There are 5 previous owners. Factory specification includes Arctic Silver Metallic paint, Metropole Blue full leather, 18-inch Carrera wheels, aluminium gear lever and handbrake, Porsche crest embossed headrests, rear wiper, top-tint windscreen and body-colour rear centre console. The stamped service book shows the following:07/ 03/ 2005 - 5, 492 miles - minor service06/ 02/ 2006 - 8, 786 miles - major service19/ 03/ 2007 - 15, 419 miles - minor service19/ 10/ 2009 - 24, 414 miles - minor service23/ 02/ 2012 - 25, 350 miles - minor service23/ 11/ 2013 - 28, 710 miles - major service 04/ 01/ 2016 - 37, 390 miles - minor service06/ 01/ 2017 - 43, 209 miles - major service + spark plugs05/ 01/ 2018 - 49, 105 miles - minor service04/ 01/ 2019 - 55, 475 miles - major service + spark plugs10/ 01/ 2020 - 59, 358 miles - minor service16/ 11/ 2020 - 62, 954 miles - major service + brake fluid07/ 01/ 2022 - 68, 786 miles - minor service09/ 06/ 2023 - 75, 994 miles - major service + spark plugs + belt16/ 01/ 2024 - 81, 911 miles - minor maintenance12/ 12/ 2024 - 89, 848 miles - major maintenance + brake fluid15/ 06/ 2026 - approx. 95, 000 miles - minor service, brake fluid and alignmentAs you can see the car has been very well maintained throughout it's life with low service intervals. There are supporting invoices for much of the later history over the last 10 years, including several larger age-related jobs. Recent/ previous work in the history file includes:Air/ oil separator replacedFront top mounts replacedDansk sports exhaust fittedFront and rear brake discs and padsFront-to-rear brake linesRear brake line sectionWater pump and coolantAlternatorPower steering pumpOSR wheel bearingLower suspension armExhaust clamps/ flange boltsCoil packsChain tensioner sealAir-conditioning work/ condensersThe previous long-term owner had the car for just under 10 years. I have spoken to him directly and he confirmed it was not used on track. It has been used as a road car and maintained properly. The car starts cleanly, runs well, pulls strongly and drives nicely. The gearbox feels great and the Dansk exhaust gives it a lovely sound without being excessive. It has recently had the brakes bled and the alignment checked, and the car feels tight and solid. The car feels tight without any rattles, the AC blows colder than my 320D and the original CD/ Radio all work perfectlyThe interior presents very well, I love the silver over blue leather combo which has aged very well. It still has the original Porsche radio, aluminium centre console, gear lever and handbrake. Cosmetically, it is a clean and presentable driver rather than a concours car. There are age-related stone chips on the front of the car and some lacquer peel/ spider cracking on the front bumper. Beyond a few small car park dings the bodywork is in good condition. The wheels are in good condition with some minor paint corrosion on one and minor rash on another. I would rather describe this honestly, but overall it presents very well, as shown in the photos. This is a really well loved, usable, later 996. 2 Carrera 2 manual coupe with a strong stamped service history, a large invoice file and many of the typical age-related jobs already addressed. Two keys are included. Both the tyres and brakes have a lot of life left in them. 996s are really starting to get the attention they deserve, with the facelift . 2 version improving the car in all ways. This is a lovely lightweight non-sunroof car in a classy colour combination and spec. The 18" wheels have been changed by a prior owner to Turbo style ones, which fit perfectly and really improve the look over the original Carrera wheels in my opinion. It's a lovely example of a 996. 2 that's had ceramic coating and polishing only a few years ago. Along with PPF applied to the typical road rash area in front of the rear wheels, it's also had it applied to the headlights after they were refurbished. I'm selling for genuine reasons, I would very much love to keep and enjoy this car for years to come.
