Description
1989 Audi 100 2. 2 E Automatic – 5-Cylinder Barn Find (Non runner)
Selling a late 1989 Audi 100 2. 2 E Automatic (Reg: G36 SRG). It has the 5-cylinder engine and has been sitting untouched in a covered, dry barn for about 10 years. This was my dad’s pride and joy until he fell ill and passed away. I would love to see it back on the road, but I just don't have the time, money, storage, or expertise to do it myself.
The Details:Engine: 2. 2L 5-cylinder petrol
Gearbox: Automatic
Mileage: 110, 000 miles (approx)
Location: Hexham area near Colwell, Northumberland
Price: £1, 500 or nearest offer
Logbook: No V5C present due to a bereavement clearance. I will provide a full written receipt so you can apply for a new one via a DVLA V62 form (£25).
Condition: Just fitted a brand-new battery, fresh engine oil, and a new oil filter. It cranks over very well on the key but won't start. It has an apparent fuel delivery issue from sitting for over a decade.
Bodywork: Very straight and complete considering the age with no major dents.
It is covered in storage dust but the body panels are solid.
Collection: Strictly collection only from Hexham area.
It does not run, so you will need a flatbed tow truck or a car trailer to take it away.
Open to sensible offers from anyone looking for an honest retro project. I believe my dad bought this car before i was born so he had owned it over 31 years and it never really missed a beat. Sadly due to ill health and spending his later years in care it hasnt clocked the miles it should have and has been sat unused for just over a decade. I recently had to get it it towed out of the barn to a friends unit with the aim of getting it running again but with little knowledge, time (and it taking up most of the space in his shared unit) and a baby on the way i have decided now is time to sell it. Hopefully somebody can get it back to its best and enjoy it as much as my dad did!
