Very rare, low-mileage B5 A4 Avant finished in Ming Blue Pearl with the extremely rare blue velour interior, navy dashboard and matching trim. Currently showing approximately 71, 000 km (44, 000 miles).

The 2. 4 V6 is smooth and suits the car extremely well, particularly on longer journeys. Being a Japanese-market car, the condition underneath is also considerably better than you would normally expect from a UK-market B5 of this age.
The car presents very well for a 28-year-old vehicle, although naturally there are some age-related marks and imperfections, which I have tried to show honestly in the photographs.
Please note: the car has recently developed an intermittent overheating issue. A substantial amount of the cooling system has already been renewed, but the underlying cause has not yet been conclusively diagnosed. The rear middle seat belt is also currently jammed.
I am therefore selling the car as-is and have priced it accordingly, due to a change in circumstances.

I bought this A4 because I wanted something a little different from the usual modern daily driver. The B5 has always been a particularly good-looking generation of A4 to me, and finding an Avant with the 2. 4 V6, exceptionally low mileage and Japanese-market specification made this one stand out.
What really makes the car special is its condition and specification. The Ming Blue Pearl exterior combined with the extremely rare blue velour interior, navy dashboard and matching trim gives it a character you simply don't get in most surviving UK B5s. Being a Japanese import has also helped preserve the car remarkably well underneath for its age.
The naturally aspirated 2. 4 V6 is probably my favourite part of the car. It's incredibly smooth, sounds great when pushed and makes the A4 a very relaxing long-distance car. There's something very satisfying about driving a simple, naturally aspirated six-cylinder estate from an era before modern cars became dominated by touchscreens and complicated driver-assistance systems.
I've put a considerable amount of time and money into maintaining and improving the car during my ownership because my intention was to keep it long-term. That includes preventative maintenance as well as major mechanical work, suspension, brakes, servicing, underbody protection and paint correction.
It isn't a perfect museum piece, and I've made sure the advert is honest about its age-related imperfections and current mechanical issue, but it is a genuinely unusual surviving example of an increasingly uncommon generation of Audi.
For someone who appreciates 1990s German cars, naturally aspirated engines and interesting specifications, there's a lot to like about this one.
