Description

VW T25 For Sale – £30, 000
After a huge amount of time, money and hard work, Blue is now up for sale.
This is my 1983 Volkswagen T25, a genuine classic transporter that has been fully restored and built with a lot of care and attention to detail. It started life in a very different condition and has been transformed into a proper show-quality camper that I'm genuinely proud of.
The van has been restored throughout, with the bodywork repaired and refinished, a white roof, fresh paintwork, black detailing and a clean, classic VW look. The interior has been completely refreshed with high-quality black 4-way stretch carpet, camper conversion features and a comfortable sleeping area.
Blue has also been lowered on coilovers, giving it the stance without going ridiculously low, and sits on a set of classic-style wheels. The finishing touches include smoked rear lights, yellow front lights and plenty of original VW details retained to keep the character of the T25.
The van has already been shown at VW festivals and has won Best VW T25, and it's also been selected for a feature in VW Transporter Magazine.
This isn't just another T25 — it's a van I've spent around a year restoring, building and improving, with countless hours going into the details.
Why I Bought Blue – What Makes It Special
I bought Blue because I've always had a real passion for old Volkswagen Transporters. After restoring my Friesen Green T4, Tanja, a few years ago, I knew I wanted another classic Transporter project — but this time, something older with more character and history.
When I first bought the T25, it was a very different van from what you see today. It needed a huge amount of work, but I could see the potential in it. I wanted to take something that had been neglected and turn it into a van that I could genuinely be proud of, while still keeping the character that makes a T25 so special.
What makes Blue stand out is the way I've built it. I didn't want it to look like every other restored T25. I've mixed a clean classic look with a few personal touches, including the white roof, black detailing, lowered suspension and carefully chosen lighting and interior finishes. At the same time, I've tried to retain as much of the original VW character as possible.
It's also become more than just a restoration project. I've taken Blue to VW festivals, camped in it, travelled around in it and made memories with it. Winning Best VW T25 at a VW festival was a huge moment because it made all those hours of work feel worthwhile. Having it selected for VW Transporter Magazine was another proud moment.
My favourite thing about Blue is probably the way it makes people stop and look. It's not just the finished appearance — it's knowing exactly how far the van has come. Every time I look at it, I see the work, the problems, the late nights and the decisions that went into bringing it back.
For me, that's what makes a classic special. It's not just a vehicle; it's the story behind it. Blue has been a massive part of my life over the last year, and that's something you can't simply put a price on.
