Description
Porsche Boxster 986 2. 7 Manual – Guards Red
A fantastic example of the iconic Porsche 986 Boxster finished in what many consider the best colour – Guards Red. This has been a cherished and well-maintained car that I’ve genuinely fallen in love with. The only reason for sale is that I’m upgrading to a Porsche 987 Boxster S!
Specification & Features
* 2. 7-litre flat-six engine
* 5-speed manual gearbox
* Rare Graphite Grey leather interior, giving the cabin a much brighter and more premium feel with the roof up
* Electric reclining seats
* Rare factory-fitted cruise control
* Climate control with ice-cold air conditioning
* £1, 200 Dansk stainless steel exhaust with the perfect OEM+ sound – subtle when cruising but brings the flat-six to life when opened up

Exterior
The electric roof operates perfectly and is in excellent condition.
The paintwork presents well and has recently received a full machine polish, glaze, wax and hydrophobic sealant. The car has always been snow-foamed before washing using the two-bucket method to minimise swirl marks.
As expected for a car of this age, there are the odd stone chips, but overall it is in good condition.
The alloy wheels are in excellent condition and are fitted with matching tyres all round.
New gloss black rear Boxster badge fitted.

Notes
The rear main seal (RMS) has a very slight weep, which is common on all 986 Boxsters you’ll view, I’m just being honest. This is nothing to worry about. It is typically addressed when the clutch is done, and in this case the clutch is operating perfectly with no issues whatsoever!
This is an honest, well-looked-after Boxster that’s ready to be enjoyed. It drives exactly as it should, sounds fantastic thanks to the Dansk exhaust, and benefits from sensible upgrades while retaining its original character.
A brilliant opportunity to own an appreciating modern classic that’s been maintained by an enthusiast. Genuine reason for sale – I’ve enjoyed every minute of owning it and am only selling because I’m upgrading to a Porsche 987 Boxster!
