Description
This is a rare 1957 2 door pillarless Coupe having undergone a 2year cheque book nut and bolt restoration in Florida 2002-4. Bought by my vendor (N Carolina) in 2008 only used as show car. I bought it in 2012 mileage 11338, and used it at my house in Tennessee. We left in 2018 and I brought the car home with me. It has been garaged in a dehumidified garage and is still totally rust free and immaculate difficult to find one this good in America let alone here! It is best described as a resto-mod and has many upgrades:
Crate 350 engine all running gear completely rebuilt, Edlebrock carb, 10 bolt rear differential power rack/ pinion steering, power brakes retaining drums, vintage Air, the list goes on. Interior very tastefully upgraded and dash has digital dials in original dash form. Whilst in Tennessee the only maintenance done apart from routine oil change and tyres etc was the fitting of a new water pump and a new light switch. Since in the UK I have replaced all brake wheel cylinders and master cylinder plus new fuel filter and routine oil changes. Photographs give great idea of condition and how she looks, but the only way to truly appreciate is to come and see the car in person. The car is on the button, there’s no sound like a V8 Chevy!!! The car can be examined on my four post lift. If you’re serious and want one of the best, come and have a look! I am reluctantly selling as I am not using as much as I would like. It is one of my favourite cars ever.
There is not as much history before my ownership as I would like! It seems fore whatever reason the previous two American owners were not that way inclined. However having owned the car myself for over 14 yrs it is as good as it gets. Since bringing the car home it has toured in Spain and France without any problems. This has never failed to start and never let me down.
