2002 Mercedes W210 E320 CDI automatic Avantgarde in fantastic condition inside and out.
I’ve owned the car for just over 12 months with minimal use due to owning several others classics. It has recently passed the MOT with no advisories after requiring 4 brand new tyres. I purchased the car off a local guy who was a true Mercedes enthusiast keeping the car in a heated carpeted garage and only used the car over the summer months and storing the car over winter. This really does show as the bodywork is absolutely fantastic. He told me the car was only used on weekends and road trips to France and Portugal etc.
Mechanically the car has been highly maintained and being the desirable OM613 3. 2 CDI it drives excellent, very powerful and returning high MPG along with a smooth gearbox. Very low mileage with 100, 000 miles on the clock. The car has full Mercedes service history up until 2018 when he purchased the car including gearbox services, alternator, serpentine belt and pulleys and a new fan clutch etc. There are also various Mercedes Benz parts invoices and service booklet invoices from Mercedes of York. There are 2 keys with the car with original Mercedes key rings. All the paperwork is present with the car (see photos) including Mercedes club booklets and the original dealer brochure. There’s also a complete tool roll.
Exterior is absolutely stunning and showing no corrosion unlike many W210s. The car really stands out and has had a full high quality respray in Mercedes brilliant silver in 2017, with new trims, clips and fittings from Mercedes with invoices to prove. The quality of the finish is exceptional and looks great with the upgraded 17 inch alloy wheels also in fantastic condition with 4 new tyres. All the chrome and bright work is unmarked.
Being the Avantgarde the interior is a lovely place to be again with exceptional quality and condition black leather interior with the wood trim. Everything works including the electric folding rear head restraints, electric mirrors, electric windows all around, trip computer, cruise control and had ice cold air conditioning. The car is fitted with an aftermarket stereo with DAB and Bluetooth. The original radio is in the boot to retain the originality if preferred along with spare original floor mats.
Overall the car is in fabulous condition for 25 year old Mercedes which potentially is eligible for classic car insurance. Even though the car is fantastic please do appreciate the odd mark etc but is a true honest car that can be used and enjoyed which unfortunately is something I’ve done very little of due to other other commitments and classics taking my time. However in all the time I’ve owned the car it has been dry stored when not in use and hasn’t been out in the salty winter months. I really didn’t want to sell this car as I love this era of Mercedes especially the diesels however the car deserves to be used more.
