2000 Porsche Boxster 2. 7 Manual – Guards Red – 78, 500 Miles – Excellent History
For sale is my 2000 Porsche Boxster 986 2. 7 manual, finished in Guards Red with a black interior, colour-matched Guards Red centre console and contrasting red seat stitching.
The car has covered approximately 78, 500 miles and presents exceptionally well. It has been garage kept, the paintwork has a superb deep gloss, and overall it is a particularly clean example for a 26-year-old 986.
It also has an unusually comprehensive history, with the original service record supported by a substantial collection of invoices and receipts. The previous owner kept the car for approximately 7 years, and it has covered only around 4, 000 miles since 2019.

Please note, the last two services with approximate mileage are not stamped, but have detailed invoices proving the work was done (that show the date but not the mileage).
There is then extensive invoiced maintenance in the subsequent years, including a major service in 2024 with engine oil and filter, air filter, cabin filter and all six spark plugs replaced.
The history also documents a significant amount of other preventative maintenance and repair work, including front brake discs, pads and wear sensors, extensive power-steering pipework, replacement brake pipes, window regulator and door-latch work, a new battery, ignition-barrel switch and other age-related items.
Most recently, the car has had substantial expenditure with respected Porsche specialist Williams Crawford. In 2026 they carried out a comprehensive inspection and diagnostic work, with the car recorded at 78, 179 miles. A new MAF/ air-mass meter and throttle body were fitted, followed by Porsche PIWIS adaptation, fault-code clearing and road testing. The paperwork confirms no faults returned following the repair.
It has also recently had an additional Porsche key supplied and coded, so the car comes with two keys.
Mechanically, the car drives very well. The 2. 7-litre flat-six and manual gearbox make this a great example of the relatively simple, analogue early Boxster, and it feels tight for its age and mileage.
The car is currently MOT’d until November.
I have priced it to reflect the combination of its condition, colour/ specification, mileage and unusually comprehensive documented history. I’m selling because I am now limited on garage space and would ideally like it sold before the winter weather properly arrives.
There are cheaper 986s available, but this is not being presented as a project or an unknown-history car. It is a very clean Guards Red manual example with extensive documentation and thousands of pounds of recent maintenance and specialist expenditure.
