Description
Audi X1 – the world's smallest electric roadster.
A one-off.
A sensation.
The Audi X1 by Augustin Rudi is not a car – it's a piece of German engineering excellence, a collector's treasure and a smile on wheels.
This junior car for adults captivates families, classic car enthusiasts and collectors alike.
A vehicle that turns heads everywhere and draws people in like magic.
Uniquely worldwide – built in 7000 hours of handcraftsmanship
Between 1977 and 1983, Augustin Rudi from Westheim crafted this extraordinary roadster entirely by hand.
Result: A single example worldwide.
The manufacturing costs at the time came to 97, 000 DM (calculated at 10 DM per hour labour).
In 1983, the X1 received its TÜV inspection, registration documents and road approval without any objections – just like a full-fledged car.
In 1989, it was entered into the Guinness Book of Records as the world's smallest road-legal electric roadster.
