Description
We're looking for a new home for our SEAT 124 FL1430
Those of you who know already realise that this is more than a car; it is a treasure encapsulated in time that has made it all the way here. Its sole owner and driver always looked after it with great care, sheltering it from the sun and rain in his private garage in a village in Lugo. And so, oblivious to the frenzy of the world, its life passed by. Following his death, the car has been placed in my care.
Hence I now discover details of its history, which is also that of a country: it was built at SEAT's factory in Landaben. It is, therefore, of the "Pamplona" range, and from there it was sent to the dealership in Lugo. The photos show the car's full MOT history.
We're holding auditions
We do not want the car to end up in the hands of dealers, or of anyone who will strip it for parts or modify it aggressively. It will only go to someone who wants to keep looking after it just as it always was, and something more: in this second life we would like it to see the world, to travel beyond the province, to be taken to a classic car rally so that it and its owner can shine before the world with pride. Its low mileage is explained by the fact that this was the Sunday car, the one you took out when you wanted to look smart... the Dos Caballos was already there for everything else.
The car has a punctured front right tyre due to disuse, so it will need to be transported on a flatbed or by recovery truck.
If you are a purist in love with survivors, this may be the car you're looking for. It is listed as historic. To talk, I am in Madrid.
Its unique character, its state of preservation, its elegant original mixed upholstery in red velour with small checks, its dashboard free of cracks, the exceptional traceability of its life. This car has not been restored; it has been maintained consistently and kept in working order up to the year 2023. For preservation, it even keeps the little bottle of shampoo that came with its cleaning kit when it left the factory...
