History
According to the information provided to me by the previous owner, the motorcycle was ridden for approximately 13, 000 km between 1992 and around 2000.
Around the turn of the millennium, the engine suffered a failure, most likely a piston seizure. According to the information passed on to me, this was caused by an issue with the exhaust power valve system. This type of failure is a known issue with the power valves on the Suzuki RGV 250.
Following this, the RGV was reportedly stored in a protected, climate-controlled indoor facility for approximately 25 years, from around 2000 until 2025, where it was carefully looked after.
After purchasing the motorcycle, I restored it to roadworthy condition. In January 2026, the engine was completely rebuilt and professionally refurbished by a specialist.
As part of the rebuild, the two-stroke-specific exhaust power valve system was also professionally overhauled and fitted with reinforced components to help prevent the known issue from recurring.

The motorcycle has not been ridden at all since the completion of the rebuild. The engine is therefore practically as new and must still be carefully run in according to the instructions provided.
Fairings & Overall Condition
All original fairing components are present. These are explicitly not aftermarket or reproduction fairings.
However, the fairings are no longer in their original factory paint. All fairing components were professionally repainted by a specialist paint shop and subsequently given a high-quality finish and polish.
The result is outstanding: the fairings have no cracks or damage and are in virtually like-new cosmetic condition. The entire motorcycle has a finish and shine comparable to a brand-new showroom bike.
