Description
We are pleased to be able to present to you this Gimson Skipper Trial 49cc. The Gimson Skipper Trial is a trials-like motorcycle, manufactured by Gimson, a Catalan brand that was active mainly from the 1950s to the 1980s. Gimson, an acronym for Gimbernat i Sons S. A., was known for its light motorcycles and mopeds, which were very popular in Spain. The Gimson Skipper Trial was designed as an entry into trials, a technical off-road motorcycle discipline that relies on balance and precision. Its low weight and modest engine made it an ideal machine for beginners and young riders alike. As for its heritage, the Gimson Skipper Trial today is a symbol of the small Spanish trials motorcycles of the 1970s. It belonged to the heyday of many Iberian brands such as Bultaco, Montesa and Ossa, which dominated the world trials scene of that era. It is powered by a 49cc 2-stroke single-cylinder engine, which is connected to a 4-speed gearbox. This rare example dating from 1971 remains in its original orange paint with glitter/ sequin decoration, making it almost unique. The motorcycle is registered and rideable. This vehicle can benefit from a warranty of up to 12 months and financing of up to 84 months.
