Following a change in my leisure vehicle, I’m selling my Jaguar.
March 25:
- Brake bleed and bypass seals - breather
February 25:
- Front tyres new 247, 500 km
- 2 belts and an idler pulley new
January 25:
- Battery and alternator new
October 2024:
- There are fewer than 500 km and six months.
- Two new tyres and alignment
- MOT clean apart from headlamp aim adjustment
- Oil change + engine oil filter
- Lubrication
There are under 7, 000 km (2020-2024):
- Front and rear wheel bearings
- Coolant change
- Automatic transmission fluid change
- Rear differential fluid change
- Power steering fluid change
- Replacement of front brake pads
- ABS unit replacement
- Fuel filler flap motor
- Suspension ball joint
- Front and rear stabiliser bar bushes
- All radiator lower and upper mount bushes
A bit longer ago: air conditioning compressor in a specialist workshop (invoice)
Positive points:
- Known and documented history (no tall tales…)
- French origin
- Regular maintenance
- No rust (regular wax treatment for hollow bodies)
- Mechanically sound
- Immaculate headliner (reupholstered by a trimmer)
- Bumper chrome in excellent condition (rare!)
- Complete Jaguar toolkit and Jaguar first aid kit
- Genuine spare wheel with relatively fresh tyres
Negative points:
- Rear bumper paintwork a little degraded
- Roof paintwork too (a vinyl wrap was applied on the roof but doesn’t hide everything)
- Air conditioning
- Digital clock that doesn’t work well
- Automatic gearbox sometimes downshifts to 3rd gear after exceeding 100 km/ h
