2000cc Turbo Cox from 1969
With all the air-cooled meets on the horizon, this Volkswagen cox could be something for those who have always wanted to run a quarter-mile and don’t have the budget to build a very fast engine. It is a Beetle (according to the German press), which back then ran the quarter-mile in 12. 8 seconds.
According to the former owner, it’s a 2-litre Type 1 engine with an Okrasa crank, a turbo setup with Weber 48s, etc. Good for about 150 bhp.
The beetle itself isn’t anything special. Welded here and there. Nice Beetle for the upcoming race season at Spa and at the European Bug-In.
Buy it with a few friends and you’re sure to have a lot of fun! The engine runs like a rocket.
You can also buy this Beetle for the engine and install it into your own VW Kombi (T1/ T2) or Beetle. Building a motor like this costs a fortune, so enjoy it while you can.
