Description
Please read my advert in full, please: I’m more interested in an exchange with a fellow enthusiast than a sale.
Opel GT 1900 1969 approx. 69, 000 km
4-cylinder 1900 cc, 90 hp
Solex twin-carburettor
RWD
4-speed manual
Classic specification
+ a van (!) of spare parts
The strengths of my GT
interior redone (new upholstery)
Power steering
Recent suspension
New radiator
Stainless steel exhaust
& stock of parts
The weaknesses
horn dead (since the power steering was installed => wire cut?)
Low beam lights not always operational (relay / dancer relay?)
Minor corrosion at the bottom of the left front wing: stabilised for 10 years
I have a disabled son and don’t let him enjoy my GT as I would like, nor does he.
My wife now refuses to ride in the back seats.
So I’m considering replacing it, exchanging for a classic, or even a young timer that could be more affordable and capable of daily use.
Regarding the "replacement model", I have one stipulation: the garage length! Just 10 to 15 cm longer than the GT (4. 11 m).
So it’s doable for: 205 / 206 / Clio / Manta A /
I also have a soft spot for the 304 S
