History: Built in 1960 and delivered new in 1961, this Austin-Healey arrived in France in 2000. It arrived in barn-find condition and has undergone a full restoration. This included a complete repaint, replacement of the floors, the hood and the upholstery, as well as an engine rebuild. The gearbox was rebuilt in 2021. Since arriving in France, it has always remained within the same family.
Condition:
General: The car is in excellent overall presentation. Since its last quality restoration, it has been very well maintained and cared for.
Exterior: The two-tone bodywork is in very good condition, as is the paint. There are a few light imperfections on the front bonnet and boot. The chrome trim and the wire wheels are gleaming. The hood is in excellent condition, well taut, ensuring perfect sealing.
Interior: The cabin is in near-new condition. The upholstery and carpets are in excellent condition. The dashboard presents very well, and all instruments are fully functional. The car is sold with its tonneau cover.
Mechanical: The inline six emits a magnificent tone thanks to its stainless steel exhaust. It starts and runs without difficulty. The gearbox was rebuilt in 2021, so gear synchronization is optimal and the overdrive works perfectly. The road-holding of the car is very good.
Undersides: The subframes/ underside of the car are healthy and free from corrosion.
