The Atelier des 1000 presents for sale this rare MVS Venturi 200 Cup221 sports coupé, shown here in an elegant British Racing Green shade with matching leather interior.
In the late 1980s, the Manufacture de Voitures de Sport gave birth to one of the first true modern French GTs, the "MVS Venturi".
This first version, under its technical designation "Cup221", produced in only 194 examples between 1987 and 1990, embodies the discreet yet ambitious beginnings of the brand. Hand-assembled, it captivates with its low, streamlined stance, refined aerodynamics, and its mid-engine rear layout which places the driver at the heart of the experience.
Rare, elegant and technically accomplished for its era, the MVS Cup 221 symbolises the French will to rival Italian and German references in the field of characterful GTs.
This example was put into circulation in 1989. It has benefited from recent maintenance to ensure a healthy, reliable car ready to take to the road in optimal conditions.
Venturi is a rarity, but the exceptional configuration of our example further enhances the exclusive character of the model.
Mechanically, the car is in good health. Its turbocharged V6 PRV engine delivers a strong and progressive push.
The ignition has been revised with the replacement of the head, distributor cap and spark plugs, guaranteeing optimal operation and reliable starting.
An oil change as well as the replacement of all filters has been carried out.
The fuel and cooling circuits have been reworked with the replacement of water and fuel hoses, as well as auxiliary belts.
The turbocharging and injection system has been revised with the replacement of the dump valve, the injection relay, the 6 injectors and the thermocouple, allowing steady and high-performing engine operation.
The gearbox functions perfectly, with precise shifts that fully contribute to the sporty driving pleasure of the model. A gearbox oil change will be carried out before sale.
The clutch performs its role perfectly with no signs of wear.
The steering is firm and communicative, and the handling is precise and balanced.
As for the paint, it has shine and presents well, though we note a few minor, usual marks on the fibreglass panels.
The undersides are in very good condition and healthy.
The panel gaps are within standard tolerances.
The cabin, typical of Venturi productions, offers a unique ambience. The Connolly leather upholstery is in very good condition, and the wood trim shows a light patina which we particularly appreciate.
The instrumentation and all electrical equipment function correctly.
Given its rarity, overall condition and recent maintenance, we are asking for €49, 990. Trade-ins and part exchanges are possible.
