SIZAIRE and NAUDIN Chassis Type K, 14 / 16 HP
Born from the passion of brothers Maurice and Georges SIZAIRE, the firm SIZAIRE et NAUDIN was founded in 1903.
Subsequently, SIZAIRE’s dazzling victory in 1906 at the new Coupe des Voiturettes propelled the brand to the forefront.
It was in 1912/ 1913, after the disappearance of monocylinder cars, that SIZAIRE et NAUDIN offered the Type K.
This very rare chassis identified as a Type K is almost complete apart from a few transmission and steering components. This wooden-reinforced chassis is in good condition; it is an interesting project that has been abandoned and needs to be taken up and revived, the mechanics to be revised, four new tyres in 815 x 105 recently fitted.
To note for purists, the SIZAIRE FRERES radiator in good condition is somewhat newer than the Type K chassis.
The chassis comes with FFVE papers and an invoice can be issued.
In 1913 a Type K was offered as a chassis at the price of 6600 Francs and 7900 Francs for a torpedo-bodied two-seater. The option of Rudge wire wheels alone cost 600 Francs. All these prices are historical, knowing that a skilled worker earned about 1 franc per hour!
