The Appeal

The largest and most luxurious model in the manufacturer's range, the Commodore's stature was as imposing as its name. The distinctive front grille, signature wheel arches and in-line 8-cylinder engine are typical of this vehicle - a majestic celebration of what Detroit could do, dreamed up by none other than Betty Thatcher (whose fascinating story is worth seeking out, for history fans!).

This particular example appears to be in good condition for its age, having been well maintained throughout its life. The bodywork is well aligned, the paintwork is neat and the huge interior is complete and correct, with original gauges and well-filled cushions. These cars are becoming increasingly rare, and particularly rare in Europe - so this is quite an exceptional opportunity.
