The Field Marshall was the bridge between the horse and mechanised farming. Manufactured by Marshall, Sons & Co in Gainsborough, England, this early diesel tractor offered immense power, ideal for the challenging early post-war years. Powered by a single-cylinder 5.1-litre engine, it served its purpose with distinction, running implements out in the field. 

Series 2 examples such as this hold a special place in the hearts of vintage machinery enthusiasts and collectors of post-war agricultural heritage.

This 1947 example has been recently acquired from a deceased estate and is now offered for sale. Helpfully, it is road-registered, so it could be enjoyed on road runs as well as in its natural habitat.
