The TD was the penultimate model in MG's long-lived and highly successful T-Series, gaining rack & pinion steering, independent front suspension, hypoid differential and a new gearbox. Road testers of the time found it to be far more drivable than the outgoing TC, proving especially popular in MG's target export market - the United States.
This 1953 example has been further enhanced by the fitment of the more rugged 1,500cc B Series engine from the later MGA. Repatriated to the UK in May 2012, this MG has since undergone a professional strip-down and repaint, carried out in August 2019, shortly after the vendor acquired it in May of the same year. The car has only covered 314 miles since purchase. It has been dry stored in the vendor's garage and has never driven in the rain.image.png3.72 MB
