The Appeal
The Ariel VB 600 is a characterful side-valve single from the renowned Selly Oak manufacturer, prized for its dependable nature and relaxed, torquey delivery. This was an era when British bikes were still reigning supreme, and while this simple mount was no speed demon, it offered a comfortable, upright riding position and was practically purpose-built for a sidecar. A real gentle giant.
This 1957 example has benefited from a complete rebuild of its cycle parts along with a full repaint, and now comes to us in handsome order. A new dual seat has been fitted, and the engine - left untouched during the rebuild - is reported to start easily with no rattling or smoke.
