The Appeal
The 4/4 marked the arrival of Morgan’s classically styled sports cars. It was so good it remained in production, little changed, for an incredible 82 years.
That makes this 1959 Series II 4/4 a relatively early car. In line with the model’s evolution it is now usefully fitted with a Ford 2litre Pinto engine - similar to the later 1960s cars - and a 5spd gearbox for long-legged touring.
Classically finished in British Racing Green with smart Minilite-style alloys, it is in lovely condition following an older restoration by specialists Carrosserie. That is likely down to the handful of keepers - just four with one retaining the car from 1967 to 2023.
It is naturally MOT exempt but has been usefully regularly tested to give the buyer independent reassurance of the condition. The current test runs to the end of March 2025 with no advisories. The car was serviced and checked over at the same time as the MOT.
