The Attractions
Everyone knows and loves the 500, but the Fiat 600 was actually launched earlier, preceding its smaller sister by two years, and was Fiat's first rear-engined car. Over two and a half million were sold, making it one of the most successful cars from the Turin-based manufacturer.
This 1962 Fiat 600 D is distinguished by its pleasing original Pea Green colour scheme, which has recently been freshened up to restore its typically attractive sheen. We are told that the interior trim is original, which is particularly remarkable considering that this car is now 64 years old!
Owned by a single owner since new, this 600 has been loved and cherished over the years. The original upholstery, while showing some signs of its age, adds authenticity and character to the vehicle. We have been informed that this Fiat is in good shape mechanically, needing only a slight tune-up to deliver optimum performance. It is registered in Italy and the seller is prepared to renew the overhaul before delivery.
