The Appeal

The Aston Martin DB6 is an icon of British automotive design, representing the peak of David Brown's vision for the ultimate "gentleman's touring" car. These cars are still the epitome of that uniquely British milieu and design language that dominated so much of the world's pop culture. The design was a development and maturation of ideas from the DB4 and DB5, using an extended chassis to provide more space for rear passengers. High-speed stability was enhanced too, doing away with the rounded rear of the DB5, the DB6 introduced an integrated 'Kamm tail' rear spoiler.
According to to factory records, this early DB6 was purchased new in February 1966 by renowned art collector Larry Wirth of Kingston, Jamaica. It's understood that he owned the car until at least 1971, which is when the history trail goes cold. It emerged in 2006 when it became part of David Segura's collection in Valencia and the previous keeper acquired it in 2010, covering remarkably few miles during the past decade.

It has evidently been restored to a high standard and is reportedly in good order. Resplendent in Silver Birch Metallic and dark blue Connolly leather interior, is a notable example of the marque. Its rarity as a left-hand drive model will no doubt tickle plenty enthusiasts' fancies, and the technical inspection is valid until 2026. All duties and VAT are paid, and by all accounts, the car is ready and waiting to return to the road.
