The Appeal
The MGB’s incredible ongoing popularity can make us forget just how pretty Don Hayter’s aerodynamic convertible is. Certain colours, especially those that accent the chromework, do that job well and the white of this car is certainly one of them.
The vendor bought this well-kept ‘69 B in 2022 and has invested considerable time and money to improve it. Beneath the well-kept paintwork and smart black and walnut-trimmed interior, there is a suspension rebuild with new king pins and a carburettor overhaul. The distributor has also been refurbished. More obviously, the dials and gauges are new. We’re told the car has also been regularly serviced.
It is a sign of the vendor’s approach that the car carries a voluntary MOT valid to November 2026 with no advisories. That is always a very hand addition for classic buyers.
Buying any B is an introduction to a remarkable work of supportive owners, helpful clubs, endless show opportunities and useful specialists. This car will fit right in.
The vendor says:
“The car is great fun to drive and is being sold reluctantly. The sale will include a MG B car cover and battery conditioner.”
