Highlights
- Beautifully presented chrome bumper Shadow
- Cream paintwork with obvious commercial potential
- Regularly used and maintained by seller as a wedding car
- Long term current keeper since 2015
The Appeal
With their slimmer arches and chrome bumpers, early Silver Shadows stick closest to John Polwhele Blatchley’s simple, handsome design and are rightly sought-after. This early car was repainted in cream in the early 1990s and has done sterling service as a lightly-used wedding car since the vendor acquired it in 2015.
The paintwork and black leather interior are very well presented, as you might expect of a working car. We’re told that it has been serviced twice by the current keeper and covered just 7,000 miles. The MOT history supports the sparing use.
This tidy car is a proper cut above the usual wedding car fare. It offers the buyer a tidy personal classic or has obvious commercial scope.

✓ We want a smooth transaction just as much as you do and as such we run all UK-registered cars and motorbikes for sale on Car & Classic through an online HPI check to verify that they show no insurance database markers for damage or theft, and have no finance owing, allowing you to bid with confidence.
✓ We also check whether vehicles are recorded as being written off as part of an insurance total loss claim at the time an advert is placed on Car & Classic and we helpfully provide write-off category labels (Cat C/D/S/N) for your assistance. However, the presence or absence of a label does not guarantee the vehicle’s status and it is always worthwhile carrying out your own full vehicle history check before making an offer on a vehicle.
