Allure
The C107 SLC offers its owners the low, sleek elegance of the R107 roadster, while benefitting from the extra space and comfort of a 2+2 GT coupe. Often eclipsed by their cabriolet counterparts, these cars are nevertheless among the best long-distance cruisers of the 1970s.
Here is an excellent opportunity to discover why. Bar the first registration in September 1972, this ready-to-drive SLC is equipped with the 3.5-litre M116 V8 engine and presents in a striking combination of white bodywork and blue interior. The equipment includes sought-after factory options such as the “Mexican Hat” alloy wheels and the large steel sunroof.
The car is accompanied by an extensive history file including several old documents, including the original purchase invoice. Recent work includes replacement of discs, pads and calipers, as well as wheel refurbishment. New shock absorbers have also been installed and a service has been carried out. In February 2025, the vehicle benefited from €2,727 of work including injector replacement, timing chain, various cooling system repairs and thermostat replacement. The current technical inspection was renewed in August 2025 and is visible in the photographs.
The vehicle still has potential for further improvement, but given the extensive work already completed these could be envisaged as progressive upgrades.
