The Appeal
Is there a better antidote to all this rain than Jinxy, the bright and characterful air-cooled camper? Looking sunnier than a Love Island film shoot, this much-loved camper could be the perfect fit for your summer holiday plans.
Jinxy is painted bright blue with a white top, a theme that continues with the pop top roof that was fitted in 2019. The vendor acquired it in 2016 and has used it for regular summer trips, including to the Channel Islands, whilst investing in it regularly throughout. Alongside that new roof, highlights include new headlining, Webasto heater and a replacement leisure battery.
Mechanically, it benefits from a new 1.6-litre air-cooled engine, which was fitted in 2017 and equipped with twin Weber carburettors to improve drivability. The gear linkages were replaced in 2022, and a new battery was fitted in 2025. There is a recent MOT from August 2023 with no advisories.
If you’re not of a practical bent, or those times are behind you, then a camper that someone else has spent money sorting makes absolute sense. Jinxy is exactly that.
