The Charm
The VW bus is one of the most recognisable vehicles in history. It’s ambitious as a claim, but thanks to decades of cultural relevance in pop culture and a simple, easy-to-maintain mechanical, it has become an indisputable reality. Brazilian examples like this have grown in popularity, in part because production lasted there much longer than in the rest of the world. And if you’re looking for yours, odds are the bright, airy Samba is exactly what you want.
This 1975 example was fully restored in Brazil in 2022 and is now based and registered in France. Painted beige inside and out, it sports an elegant silhouette. The matching serial numbers are confirmed, and the vehicle is registered in France with a collection-style registration, with definitive plates recently replacing the old temporary plates.
Mechanically, the seller indicates that the 1,500 cm³ engine runs well and that the vehicle is very pleasant to drive. The most recent Technical Control (MOT) has failed, but will be retaken before sale. It ticks many boxes, and we have no doubt it will prove to be a very rewarding classic for its new lucky owner.IMG_4384 Classic Cars Company.jpg4.16 MB

✓ The seller is listed as a private seller, which means consumer rights arising from EU consumer protection law do not apply. However, you are still covered by Car & Classic's own Terms and Conditions.
✓ We require a non-refundable fee to be paid if you are the winning bidder at auction or if your bid is accepted. Please refer to our helpful FAQs and our FAQs and our T&Cs for the rates.
✓ This vehicle is "Sold as seen", on a "as seen, where is" basis and with no warranty. Photos and descriptions are for guidance only and a full vehicle inspection before purchase is customary for your peace of mind.
✓ VAT is included in the buyer's fees. VAT may be included or not in the final bid or purchase price, as indicated in the listing.
✓ We want a smooth transaction for you as well, so we have all UK-registered vehicles and motorbikes sold on Car & Classic checked online with HPI to ensure they show no marker for damage or theft in the insurance database and that there is no outstanding financing, allowing you to bid with confidence.
✓ We also check whether vehicles are recorded as total loss after an insured claim at the time the listing is published on Car & Classic and we prominently provide loss-category labels (Cat C/D/S/N) to help you. However, presence or absence of a label does not guarantee the vehicle’s status and it is always useful to perform your own full vehicle history check before bidding on a vehicle.
✓ Buyers are responsible for collection or delivery of the vehicle. Importing vehicles may incur duties and import taxes, so pre-checking is advisable. It is the bidders' responsibility to confirm import eligibility before purchase.
