The Appeal
The GT380 was part of Suzuki’s new GT range of bikes utilising its two-stroke, air-cooled ‘triple’ in various capacities. These touring bikes are well-regarded for their smoothness, achieved by rubber mounting the triple, and for the resultant comfort. They’re reliable too.
The vendor acquired this 1977 GT380 in a part-restored state and has set about completing the work. Finished in attractive dark green/blue metallic, it presents in really good condition, a nice mix of originality, gentle patina and new parts. It features an original exhaust system and fully rebuilt engine. It has covered so few miles since the rebuild that we’re told it still needs running in. Other restoration work included rechroming and powder coating the restored frame.
Now very rare and highly appealing to collectors, this is a very appealing example of the GT380.
The vendor says:
“A great light handling bike to ride, great fun, and a real crowd puller, looks like new and handles well two up.”
