The Appeal
The Land Rover 109 Series III is among the most recognisable and capable utility vehicles ever produced, and its reputation for rugged dependability in all conditions has earned it a devoted following worldwide. Built with mechanical simplicity at its core, these cars have become a byword for industrious, no-nonsense running.
Many of these rugged 4x4s found themselves in military service, and this one appears to be exactly that, judging from its specific NATO fittings. It's certainly lived an eventful one - it's got all of the patina of a true working vehicle.
This 1979 example is a desirable long-bodied station wagon that comes with both French registration and a UK registration certificate, having spent much of its life on British soil. This is an honest Land Rover that wears its years openly, and the vendor believes this makes for a fine candidate for rolling restoration. 100 RS for Didier Heeren.JPG17.09 MB
