The Appeal
The most obvious way to differentiate a Silver Shadow II is by the bumpers, but more significant changes went on unseen. These later cars are well regarded because they ride better thanks to improved suspension, and the handling is sharper and more engaging due to the rack and pinion set-up.
This attractive Willow Gold metallic 1979 ‘II’ comes to market fresh from a huge investment by the current keeper. That work has covered a full respray in the original colour, extensive interior retrim using parts from Flying Spares and a thorough mechanical check over and service. The latter work included engine, gearbox and differential oil changes, fuel filter and lines and a carburettor overhaul.
The result is a really nice example of these commanding saloons. Alongside all that recent work the car comes to market with the added reassurance of a lengthy voluntary MOT to February 2026 containing no advisories.
