The Appeal

With its unmistakable and irresistibly eighties look, this very clean Escort convertible takes us back to happy and carefree summer evenings spent driving around with friends.

With a fresh new look, revised interior and much improved suspensions, the 1986 Escort MkIV was a sales success. The cabriolet models in all trims were in vogue amongst the trendiest young people of the early nineties.

Fitted with a lively and economical fuel injected engine, and equipped with sporty Recaro seats in excellent condition, a new soft top, alloy wheels and some nice vintage accessories such as the throw-back cassette box, this is a solid and honest vehicle ready for enjoyable wind-in-your-hair motoring.

The great conditions of the interior and exterior trim and the spotless engine bay tell a lot about the great care taken by the previous loving owners.

Many mantenteinance invoices, the original service book and factory manuals are a nice bonus.

The car has been in storage since 2021, having just received a few small touch-ups to the original paint and a new soft top.
