The Appeal
Originally born in the 60’s of American industrial designer Brooks Stevens’ desire to produce a car styled after 1920’s Mercedes sports cars, the Excalibur brand was set up in his home town of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and produced cars until 1990, the year from which this example hails.
Even now, the models have a unique and enduring appeal that appeals to automotive enthusiasts. Its distinctive design features a long bonnet, prominent grille, and sweeping lines and, as a package, offers a blend of timeless elegance and modern convenience. More commonly seen as two seater cars, the Series V Touring Sedan has the added practicality of a four seat cabin and is thought to have been limited to a production run of just 101 cars making this a very rare beast.
