The Appeal
For the R129 generation, Mercedes-Benz tried something never before seen in the illustrious SL range: a V12.
The 6.0-litre DOHC 48v SL600 made 394 horsepower and would power through to an (electronically limited) top speed of 250 kph/155 mph. That was seriously impressive for a luxury convertible GT, and it's equally impressive today.
This 1997 example has benefited from proper Mercedes-Benz specialist care throughout its life, making it a compelling proposition for collectors and enthusiasts of flagship Mercedes models.
