The Appeal
Trust Suzuki to respond to the revival in two seater sports cars by doing something individual and different. The firm went back to its Kei car roots and delivered the Cappuccino. Just like Italy’s favourite morning tipple it was small, perfectly formed and full of energetic verve.
Its tiny dimensions were perfectly formed with a long bonnet and curvacious rear. There was a 657cc turbocharged 3cyl fuel injected 12v engine that was good for 85bhp, more than enough to propel this featherweight two seater to entertaining speeds. The current owner certainly feels like its more.
This silver over black 1994 car has had just three keepers from new, the last two being enthusiastic members of the SCORE owners club. It has amassed just 17,000 miles in its 31 years which explains the high level of preservation inside and out. It has spent the majority of its pampered life in a garage or underground secure storage & been used naturally for those sunny and special show days.
The car has been well maintained, most recently earlier this year by Suzuki main dealer WJ King. There is also an advisory-free MOT to January 2026.
With just 1,110 Cappucino’s ‘served’ into the UK market, these lovely little cars are rare sights at auction. This one must be one of the best and least used available and a treat for classic convertible enthusiasts and existing and to be Kei car fans.
Adding to the cars appeal is the inclusion of the private registration M555 JCB—a valuable and memorable plate that stays with the car, offering both distinction and potential investment value.
With fewer than 222 silver UK cars ever supplied and even fewer surviving in such pristine, original condition, this Cappuccino represents a rare chance to acquire a true collector’s gem. Whether you’re a seasoned classic enthusiast, a Kei car aficionado, or simply seeking a unique, smile-inducing convertible for this and future summer adventures, this car promises enjoyment and investment potential!
Very cheap to insure as a low annual miles classic car, as it is an official UK car.
The owner has said he will miss it, but has great memories of his silver go-kart!

The current owner, a lifelong Cappuccino devotee, is reluctantly parting with this beloved car due to unexpected mobility challenges. His passion for the model is evident—this is his second Cappuccino, carefully chosen after viewing many lesser examples, and previously owned by an equally enthusiastic 85-year-old SCORE member. His first was acquired in 1998 and was an ex Brussels Motor Show car, purchased in Brussels and used to drive to and from London on many memorable weekend summer journeys as his weekly commuting car, via Eurotunnel.
He is confident the next owner will get to enjoy all the delights of owning a very special engineered, balanced and totally grin rewarding car for the coming summer. He had planned a European Driving tour this summer as a farewell trip, but mobility challenges have meant that won't possible.
