The Appeal
Buying a new 996 must have been a decision-making nightmare, such was the raft of options and opportunities to bespoke.
The first owner of this tidy 911 appears to have avoided those dilemmas by ticking most of the key boxes. So it is a Carrera with the desirable AWD system, Tiptronic box and convertible with hard top versatility. Then there is the colour scheme - lovely Ocean Blue over Savannah leather.
In the years since it has been carefully maintained, including significant work in September 2023 to the engine. The all-important IMS and RMS bearings were replaced at this time. The Tiptronic box has also been recently rebuilt.
A recent engine light means that we would advise trailering this car on purchase. Once fixed this looks like a well loved and hugely entertaining addition to any driveway.

- Underside similarly well kept with no structural advisories on last MOT
- Original ‘fried egg’ headlights and upgraded rear lights
- Soft top replaced by a previous owner with a later glass window style
- Original wind deflector in good condition
- Retains its factory-fitted Porsche stereo unit
- Savannah leather interior has some general wear and tear to be expected of age
- Some scratches on the rear of the seats which are not immediately noticeable
- Emergency spare wheel, jack, tool roll, and Porsche air compressor included

- Tiptronic 5spd automatic gearbox with sequential shift via buttons and shifter
- Vendor advises that the Tiptronic gearbox has been rebuilt
- New brake discs and pads fitted last year together with handbrake cable
- New bump stops fitted all around
- Replacement driveshaft
- Stainless steel exhaust boxes and tips with great sound
- Vendor reports slight knocking sound from left side exhaust and engine check light on
- We are told there is no loss of oil, good oil pressure, no smoke or soot from exhaust
- Vendor believes the problem may be a possible exhaust system issue
- Due to change in circumstances he has been unable to get the issue checked out
- Car will need transported to a new home
