The Appeal
The Fiat Seicento Sporting Michael Schumacher Limited Edition was born from a collaboration between Fiat and Scuderia Ferrari, marking Michael Schumacher's first Formula 1 World Championship with the Maranello team. The seven-time World Champion himself starred in the car's television commercials. Originally a strictly limited run of 1,000 units for the German market, demand led Fiat to expand production to 5,000 individually numbered examples across Europe, with first-series cars now considered the most collectable.
This is number 373, finished in Rosso Corsa. It carries the factory Abarth styling kit with deeper bumpers, prominent side skirts and 14-inch Abarth alloy wheels, complemented by Schumacher's signature on the boot lid and side skirts. Inside, there is a leather steering wheel and gear knob, chrome gear lever surrounds, signatures on the headrests, a unique instrument cluster panel, and dedicated sill plates. The individually numbered production plaque is fitted on the passenger side.
It was purchased for the seller's collection in 2020 from the first owner, an elderly woman in Germany, with around 48,000 km on the odometer. It is noted to have been well-maintained and garage-stored, and has reportedly not been driven during the winter while in the seller's custody. The seller notes that it has been serviced on various occasions over the last six years, also benefiting from a timing belt replacement in 2024. New Abarth wheels are said to have been fitted in 2020, and a Siecento Sporting-spec Sebring exhaust has been installed, which the seller notes significantly improved the car's sound.
