The Appeal
Any M3 is, after all, a M3, and therefore brilliant, but sometimes brilliant comes in different hues. The most brilliant M3 is, of course, the E46. Don’t just take our word for it - check any list of Best M3s and the E46 always tops it.
With good reason, because it seamlessly blends technology with engagement. The result is not just the best M3 but arguably one of the greatest drivers’ cars ever built. Hence why the E46 M3 remains in such demand. The problem is finding a decent one amongst the many hard-driven examples.
This car seems to fit that requirement. Finished in classic EstorilBlau with grey leather, it is a very tidy convertible that still has its matching hard top. The 350bhp 3.2L S54 straight six is mated to the firm’s clever SMG II 6spd sequential gearbox.
The history file shows regular maintenance. Since 2021 the car has received a gearbox overhaul and a Stage one remap. At the same time it was fitted with a K&N air intake kit.
A fresh service and new MOT would be useful before using it in earnest. Once done, you get very rewarding car to enjoy.
