The Appeal
The fifth-generation Mustang was a thankful return to the classic profile, bringing retro cues that reminded buyers why they’d always loved America’s Pony car. This 2006 Mustang left the works as a 4.6-litre V8 and spent its life in the USA until 2018. But, geographically and technologically, it’s a long way from there now.
As you may suspect from the pumped-up red and black aesthetics, this car has been seriously modified. Thankfully, the work has been done professionally. It includes Procharger P1SC-1 supercharger installation with intercooler, Flowmaster stainless steel exhaust system and Eibach suspension upgrades. There is also a very high-end Kenwood sound system for when you feel the rumble of that V8 requires a different accompaniment.
The vendor tells us that he acquired the car in 2018 when it had 15,600 miles on the clock. It now shows 26,800 miles. In the intervening years, he has maintained it well, as you can see from the history file photos, and treated it to a full ceramic coat polish. This is a car suitable for showing as well as merely enjoying. The current MOT runs to June 2026 with no advisories.
For fans of Ford’s legendary fastback, this is one that is as much about admiring as it is about driving. It’s even ULEZ-compliant and carries low road tax.
