The Appeal
Porsche began toying with the idea of a four-door with the 1984 928-based Study H50, but it took serious investment to finally realise the idea with the clever Panamera. Looking much like a four-door 911, and just as engaging and agile as its sibling, it gave executive express buyers something very different from the usual Audis, BMWs, Maseratis and Mercedes.
This early Turbo is a nicely specified car in Carbon Grey metallic with light grey leather and carbon trim. With close to 500bhp on tap and that lightning-quick 7-spd PDK gearbox, this car is a seriously quick four-door supercar, especially when equipped, as here, with the versatile Sport Chrono package.
The car is in very good order, with only a few very minor cosmetic points to note in photos and our description below. The service history shows a run of regular attention, primarily by main dealers and specialists, including a visit to Weston Porsche Specialist in January 2026. The vendor tells us that the next service is not due for around 20,000 miles or two years. Recent work has included four new quality Yokohama Advan tyres and a replacement battery. Deep dive model enthusiasts will note that the important coolant pipe and camshaft controller have been replaced during factory recalls. We are told no recalls are outstanding. The current MOT runs to August 2027 with no advisories.
Beautifully engineered and as rewarding for passengers as it is for the driver, this is a great example of the viscerally quick Turbo.
The vendor says:
“The car defies its 17 years of age by being a hugely accomplished super saloon, fast, engaging to drive but at the same time comfortable and very quiet on the motorway. I love the seemingly infinite amount of torque when pressing on the gas and the communicative steering wheel. It is also spacious enough for 4 tall adults and luggage for a long weekend, or for a family with little children, which will love the cocooned feeling at the back.”
